Steve James Backshall is English naturalist, television presenter and writer. He is known for presenting such shows as CBBC's The Really Wild Show (from 2003 to 2006), the Lost Land series (from 2006 to 2010) and Deadly (since 2009).
In 2008, during a break from filming the first season of Deadly 60, Steve had accident, falling down when he was rock climbing in Forest of Dean, England. He received a spinal injury but luckily he didn't become paralysed.

11 year old Ben from Orpngtion meet Steve as Ben's favourite hobbies was about surival and bird watching. Steve taught how put up a hammock and a sheet of waterproof matreial over it. At the end Steve gave Ben set of binoculars which Steve wrote his signature in silver.
